Quantum Dot Researcher

Research Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team at Istituto Italiano Di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova, Italy.

About the Role: As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, you will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group focused on the development of light sources employing nanomaterials. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct spectroscopy studies of colloidal quantum dots with emission in the visible and near-infrared spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out spectroscopy studies of colloidal quantum dots presenting emission in the visible (400 – 700 nm) and near-infrared spectrum (700 – 1550 nm)
2. Support peers in the optical characterization of other nanomaterials
3. Support the supervision of PhD students

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or related fields. You should have documented experience in performing single-photon studies on colloidal quantum dots and optical characterization. Strong publication record and good command of spoken and written English are also essential.
