Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and model structured datasets utilizing advanced statistical techniques and implement necessary algorithms and software for comprehensive analyses.
  • Develop recommendation systems, spam detection algorithms, sentiment analysis tools, and classifiers for both unstructured and semi-structured data.
  • Organize extensive volumes of user-generated content and manage data processing in large-scale environments using technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Execute machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical analysis methods, including classification, collaborative filtering, association rules, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, time series analysis, regression, statistical inference, and validation techniques.
  • Lead client engagements centered on Big Data and Advanced Business Analytics across diverse fields such as product innovation, market research, public policy, optimization, and risk management; communicate findings and educate stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Conduct exploratory data analyses, formulate and test working hypotheses, prepare and scrutinize historical data, and identify significant patterns.
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Operations Research, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist, with involvement in Advanced Data Analysis initiatives.
  • Proficiency in command-line scripting, data structures, and algorithms, with experience in processing substantial datasets in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with data extraction and processing techniques, preferably using MapReduce, Pig, and/or Hive.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, SCALA, Ruby) and the capability to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot big data infrastructures, including distributed processing paradigms, stream processing, and databases such as Hadoop, Storm, SQL, and Solr.
  • Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, or cognitive computing.
  • Proficiency in analytics and Data Science tools (R, SAS, Python, Knime, Spark, Matlab) and associated packages.
  • Fluency in English, ideally enhanced through educational or professional experiences abroad.
  • A willingness to collaborate closely with clients based on project requirements.
