Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician/Lab Manager to join our team at Abcd It. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing projects in molecular cardiology, with a focus on understanding transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms controlling fibroblast activation and cardiomyocyte differentiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute projects in molecular cardiology, including analyses of mouse models, induced pluripotent stem cells, and primary cell culture.
  • Conduct experiments using transgenic mouse models, including colony management, treatments, and organ harvest.
  • Cultivate and differentiate iPS cells to cardiomyocytes.
  • Perform histological and functional analysis for the characterization of cardiac phenotypes.
  • Support grant applications, project reports, and paper preparation.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or similar subjects.
  • Strong technical skills in molecular and cellular biology.
  • Previous experience in mouse handling and FELASA accreditation is highly recommended.
  • Previous experience in iPS cell culture is considered a preferential requirement.
  • Organizational and lab managing skills, time efficient, good communication skills, and open mind.
  • Independent working method but also team-oriented work.
  • Strong analytical skills and a creative, problem-solving-oriented mindset.
  • Good knowledge of verbal and written English.
