About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role for those with military experience looking to transition into the private sector. As a Military Operations Manager at Amazon Logistics, you'll be part of a team that's passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The role is based at our operational site, where you'll lead a team of area managers and be responsible for developing and implementing operational plans to drive excellence in safety, quality, and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a team of area managers
  • Leading operational teams on a shift, addressing issues, and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyzing shift performance against business objectives and implementing actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborating with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Designing and delivering initiatives to improve operational performance

You'll be a key link between different teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration. Your day will involve meetings, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring and coaching your team. You'll be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best managers they can be.
