Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and finance functions in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a staff of 3-5 individuals and providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Provide monthly reporting to corporate finance, including profitability, inventory cost, and variance analysis.
  • Cost Control: Maintain cost and inventory control systems, ensuring accurate tracking of sales, cost of goods sold, manufacturing cost, work in process, and inventory.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze data to provide financial reports on profitability, inventory, and manufacturing cost, including variances to plan.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for analyzing and reconciling inventory in transit, variances to purchase prices, and manufacturing expenses. Provide a valuation of inventory, utilizing control and audit of standard cost, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments.
  • Capital Appropriation: Assist management with the preparation of capital appropriation requests and the annual financial budget, as well as quarterly forecasts. Analyze and prepare reports on sales, product orders, results, and inventory.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience, with a focus on computerized standard cost environments.
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Engineering with a Business minor preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient with MS Office and any variety of ERP systems. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
