Job Overview:

As an Application Delivery Strategist, you play a pivotal role in maximizing business value realization for the applications you manage. This involves implementing priorities in the most effective way possible. Your responsibilities encompass managing a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of applications, groups of applications, or platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the application has a strategic positioning aligned with IT Enterprise Architecture and Global IT Domains
  • Secure proper license agreements for planned user communities in alignment with the application owner
  • Register the application within the CMDB, adhering to the overall strategy and leveraging ServiceNow capabilities
  • Oversee service delivery, particularly case resolution management (incidents, requests), ensuring a support agreement and a Service Management system is in place and aligned with Hitachi Energy standards
  • Maintain technical documentation accuracy and availability for the application(s) in scope
  • Ensure yearly application costs align with allocated budgets
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, developing remediation strategies to minimize adverse impacts (e.g., Patching)
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging threats to enhance Vulnerability Monitoring Service effectiveness and ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards and regulations
  • Perform Internal Controls activities (particularly important if the application is ICoFR-relevant)
  • Adhere to local security requirements
  • Maintain close interactions with the application owner

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of experience in Application Management
  • 5+ years of experience in Application Management, Development, and Application Run Operations
  • Familiarity with one or more coding languages (e.g., Javascript, C++, Python, Java; specify relevant languages)
  • Experience with development platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega, Docker, Kubernetes; specify relevant languages)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles
  • Able to comprehend context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders verbally and in writing
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks
