Your Role

You will be part of our Services Locomotive Europe (SLE) organization, supporting local Field Maintenance Engineers with Corrective Preventive Maintenance related to maintenance projects on railway vehicle fleets.

Your activities will span the entire lifecycle of the fleet, including feedback loops to new design, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the maintenance regime for rolling stock fleets.
  • Collect and analyze in-service field data, failure rates, and maintenance-related information according to AT procedures and tools.
  • Ensure accurate collection and timely availability of maintenance labor and material costs.
  • Provide verified RAMSLCC information to Fleet Engineering for opportunities analysis and FM offers/bids preparation.
  • Contribute to achieving contractual RAMSLCC performances throughout the contract duration.
  • Support local teams on MMS setup, operation, and troubleshooting, sharing relevant information from other AT organizations.
  • Act as a FRACAS facilitator in FM Projects' Core Teams.
  • Monitor vehicle configuration management during data collection and technical support.
  • Support engineering work related to projects, addressing technical issues with corrective, preventive, and overhaul maintenance.
  • Identify and resolve limitations in fleet or product improvements by addressing issues to relevant functions and following their solution implementation.
  • Provide systematic inputs on operation performance improvement, Life Cycle Cost management, and technical clearance.
  • Contribute to implementing and validating prognostic algorithms to identify critical system health and promote Condition-Based Maintenance strategy.
  • Offer technical support and expertise to Procurement on spares, services, and facilities, including external supplier support when required.
  • Orient yourself towards optimizing the maintenance plan based on collected field experience across all countries and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or aerospace engineering or equivalent cultural background.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Maintenance and/or Project Engineer roles, with technical and operational senior experience in similar positions, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Experience with industrial engineering, maintenance projects, or vehicles fleet management, along with related aspects such as customer requirements handling, support to manufacturing and operations, interface with other departments and customers, and offer preparation.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently on complex tasks in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, German is a plus.
