Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at CVS Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and patients by ensuring accurate and efficient medication dispensing, processing prescriptions, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

1. Process and prepare prescriptions for dispensing, including verifying patient information and medication orders
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and refill requests
3. Participate in the training and development of new pharmacy staff members
4. Assist pharmacists with patient counseling and education on medication use and management
5. Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, processing payments, and maintaining inventory

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification or training preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Basic math skills and attention to detail, with ability to accurately count and measure medications
