We are seeking a skilled and analytical Category Manager to join our Group Procurement team at DAB Pumps. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies for various categories, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and share with the Head of Group Procurement the purchasing strategy for relevant categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the achievement of performance KPIs defined by the Head of Group Procurement, driving results-oriented procurement practices.
  • Cluster the supplier base and manage relationships based on strategic weight, ensuring optimal supplier performance.
  • Set development goals for strategic suppliers, ensuring progress on key performance indicators.
  • Lead the RFI/RFQ process, select suppliers, and negotiate prices/costs for new projects, ensuring value for money.
  • Identify and scout new suppliers as needed, expanding our procurement network.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies with suppliers, ensuring successful contract outcomes.
  • Finalize contractual negotiations with suppliers for framework agreements, ensuring compliance and value.
  • Communicate performance objectives to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Operations functions (Quality and Supply & Planning) on critical supply issues, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Process the Group Budget for assigned purchase categories, ensuring accurate financial management.

Requirements:

  • Education in Mechanic, Electronic, or Management Engineering.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence others, with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and problem-solving, with leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and generate new ideas, ensuring continuous improvement.
