Overview

At Amazon, we are seeking an emerging leader ready to embark on a managerial journey through our comprehensive 8-week internal training program. Following a thorough onboarding process, you will be entrusted with managing your own team, ensuring timely and quality delivery of customer orders. As a developing leader, you will receive guidance in enhancing your people management capabilities through collaboration with your team, supervisors, and various stakeholders. In this role, you will play a vital part in our global organization, working closely with local team members at a logistics facility. You will also engage with other sites on critical matters such as workplace safety, process enhancement, sustainability initiatives, and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directing and mentoring a team of up to 100 staff members
  • Organizing and overseeing internal operational processes
  • Formulating actionable recommendations and specific strategies for process enhancement based on metrics related to safety, productivity, and quality
  • Collaborating with both upstream and downstream departments on-site
  • Engaging in broader projects aimed at improving customer satisfaction
  • Efficiently managing resources and workflows
  • Ensuring adherence to occupational safety standards and environmental regulations

A Typical Day

Your work will take place during one of our shifts (morning, evening, or night). Upholding safety standards across your site will be your primary focus. As a shift manager, you will regularly conduct team meetings and provide constructive feedback to your employees and stakeholders. By leveraging data analysis, you will impact the productivity and quality of your operations. As a key member of the local team, you will work alongside other departments and external partners to fulfill customer expectations and uphold our standards. You will analyze data with leadership and discuss the operational implications of technical enhancements with subject matter experts.
