Malwarebytes is seeking a skilled Product Manager to lead the development of our Windows Consumer product line. As a key member of our Product Management team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for our Windows Consumer product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing to define and execute on the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Malwarebytes Windows Consumer product line.
- Conduct market and user research to identify unmet customer needs and to inform future product direction.
- Analyze competitive landscape and conduct technology assessments.
- Advocate for users to ensure customer satisfaction and acceptance.
- Collaborate with UI/UX and Engineering teams to define new product experiences.
- Translate high-level product features into epics and detailed user stories.
- Build, prune, and maintain the product backlog of epics, user stories, defects, refactors, and infrastructure work.
- Prioritize sprint work to focus on delivering maximum value aligned with the overall product strategy.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement sessions, sprint reviews, and participate in retrospectives and daily standups.
- Collaborate with the scrum team to promote the product vision, explain your user stories, make key decisions, negotiate trade-offs, and ensure on-time delivery of releases.
- Prepare and participate in release planning.
- Partner with Program Management and Marketing to ensure smooth product launches.
- Collaborate with other Technical, Product Strategy, and Product Marketing Managers to share knowledge and experience, coordinate with other releases, and deliver great products.
- Participate in beta programs and our public forums on an on-going basis.
- Maintain close relationships with the cross-functional team (Support, Marketing, Engineering, and QA) to answer questions about your product.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of software product management or product owner experience in a technical organization.
- Background in the Windows space required.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.
- Self-directed, proactive, highly detailed-oriented, results-driven, with the ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, collaborative environment.
- Strong exposure to user experience design and user research.
- Ability to collaborate and interact across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels and geographic regions.
- Ability to speak with internal and external customers with knowledge and professionalism.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Creative thinker, problem solver, and strong leader with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes, maintain a positive attitude, and motivate a team.
