Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Formulation Specialist to join our team in Torino. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing differentiated products formulations for the Driveline Fluid / Engine Oil Lubricants business.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or mechanical engineering and experience in the lubes development sector or the automotive industry. They should possess excellent problem-solving skills, an innovative approach to overcoming obstacles, and the ability to work autonomously. Strong project management skills, including budget management, are also essential.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Develop differentiated products formulations for the Driveline Fluid / Engine Oil Lubricants business
  
• Lead or support different types of global or regional projects
  
• Work closely with component/additive suppliers, base oil manufacturers, and external test laboratories
  
• Carry out competitor product evaluations
  
• Plan, execute, and document product development support programs
  
• Initiate laboratory work to design and develop experimental formulations leading to final products
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 
  
• A degree in Chemistry (preferable) or Mechanical Engineering
  
• Experience with lubes development sector or in the automotive industry on automotive fluids formulations development desirable
  
• Research/technical knowledge in transmission/engine development or application testing desirable
  
• A demonstrated track record in problem-solving
  
• An innovative approach to overcoming obstacles and an adaptive approach to achieve outstanding results
  
• Project management skills (according to PMI guidelines)
  
• Budget management for relevant projects and investments
