The AC Power Global Large Converter COE department specializes in the design of large power Uninterruptible Power Supplies and converters, focusing on both mechanical and electrical aspects. Our team conducts engineering tests, verifies compliance with design specifications, performs value engineering analyses to optimize product costs, and provides support for field engineers on specialized applications. We also address specific customer requirements through the Engineer-to-Order (ETO) process, with products that may serve both global and regional markets.

We are currently seeking a Control Engineer to enhance our innovative team.

As a Control Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the design and development of control architectures from both firmware and hardware perspectives. You will create functional and architectural specifications, define validation tests according to standard procedures, and analyze specific applications while providing active support and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control architecture specifications in collaboration with international firmware and hardware teams.
  • Review existing software implementations to comprehend their functionalities.
  • Assist the testing team in formulating test plans and evaluating test outcomes.
  • Conduct software testing and validation in line with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with various functions during the product specification phase.
  • Provide support to the service team, either remotely or on-site, to resolve issues.
  • Generate technical documentation in accordance with process requirements.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proficiency in Closed Loop Techniques: Discrete dominion; CLARK & PARK; D/Q & Alpha/Beta dominions; PWM modulation and space vector.
  • Experience with control modeling using MATLAB & Simulink.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Familiarity with core operating system concepts: processes, memory management, file systems, task management.
  • Knowledge of software version control tools such as CVS, SVN, and GIT.
  • Understanding of power converter technologies.
  • Customer-focused with a willingness to travel.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Educational Background: University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-5 years in a relevant role.
