Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing suppliers for serial deliveries, from analyzing procurement requests to organizing shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze procurement requests from the Planning department and issue purchase orders and work orders to qualified suppliers.
  • Manage the interface with the Procurement Office and Production Planning regarding the advancement of orders to Suppliers and Third-Party Suppliers.
  • Manage activities related to product non-conformities.
  • Execute solicitations to Suppliers and Third-Party Suppliers.
  • Manage a supplier park with related weekly update meetings to be managed autonomously (meetings in English).
  • Implement and manage improvement projects for the company.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in managing relationships with administration, production, quality, and logistics to ensure coordination in purchases and complete coverage of all involved company processes.
  • Define priorities based on customer requests (internal and external).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Economics.
  • +3 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (optional knowledge of AS400).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and proactivity.
