Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant maintenance personnel for their assigned shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising assigned employees, assigning work to plant maintenance personnel, coordinating proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and advise plant maintenance personnel on work assigned.
  2. Interface with other shift Maintenance Supervisors to coordinate daily work transfer.
  3. Interface with all Departmental Supervisors to ensure that plant equipment is maintained and kept in a functional and safe order.
  4. Evaluate and make suggestions through manager/management for potential training opportunities and department enhancements.
  5. Address safety and sanitation issues that require immediate attention.
  6. Ensure that all plant and facility equipment are maintained in a normal, safe, and running condition.
  7. Supervise troubleshooting of all plant and facility equipment and advise mechanics on proper troubleshooting techniques.
  8. Supervise shop work and fabrication to ensure it is performed in a safe and proper manner.
  9. Monitor preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules to meet scheduled due dates.
  10. Interface with outside contractors when contracted work is scheduled during assigned shifts.
  11. Communicate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  12. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  13. Maintain time and maintenance records.
  14. Direct the Service/Sanitation crew as necessary.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree preferred, 3 to 5 years related experience, proven leadership experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and machine shop skills, and the ability to use drafting software (AutoCAD / Visio) to perform basic updates on drawings.

A competitive compensation package is offered, including a salary of $95,000-105,000 annually depending on experience.
