About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to join our team at NTT DATA ITALIA S.P.A. as a key member of our Business Intelligence Service Line. As an Azure Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers in Big Data projects, working closely with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data acquisition, transformation, and improvement processes to load data into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions to everyday issues.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cloud native environments, including Azure infrastructure and networking.
  • Build and deliver proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using the most appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
  • Migrate workloads from on-premise to cloud environments and monitor distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a cloud native environment, with a strong focus on Azure.
  • Proven experience in Big Data Architectures, cloud, and on-premise environments.
  • Expertise in Azure infrastructure and networking, as well as experience with Agile Methodology and Kanban.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting, as well as SQL language.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure-related ETL/ELT tools.
  • Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions, such as Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter, etc.
  • Experience with Data Visualization solutions, such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
