Staff Planner

Job Summary

HHLA PLT Italy is seeking a highly skilled Staff Planner to join our team. As a Staff Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient deployment of operational staff to meet the demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective staff scheduling strategies to optimize operational efficiency and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with Control Room, General Cargo, Shift Leaders, and Operational Manager to plan and coordinate staff deployments.
• Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of staff attendance, absences, and training requirements.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• High School graduation (technical field preferred)
• Knowledge of port environment and operational processes
• Awareness of economic impact of staff planning decisions
• Behavioral competences required (e.g., organizational skills, ability to lead a team, etc.)
• Communication, social, and interpersonal skills
• Sensibility towards and understanding of individual staff situations/motivations
• Ability for working autonomously/independently and self-organization
• Fluent spoken and written Italian is a must
• Intermediate English spoken
