About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Global Supply Chain – Materials Planning to join our team at Eli Lilly and Company. As a key member of our Global Supply Chain Excellence organization, you will be responsible for defining and documenting global business processes, identifying and driving improvements, and governing the execution of business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and document global business processes for Materials Planning operations across all manufacturing networks (API, parenteral, and dry products)
  • Develop a strategic vision for the business process in line with overall business objectives
  • Make recommendations for Materials Planning process development and improvement on behalf of stakeholders
  • Align processes, organizational roles, and technology to support business objectives
  • Form a companywide strategic roadmap to improve Materials Planning process maturity
  • Train users on business processes and enable process design through technology and analytics
  • Track benefits and improvement into the business and channel continuous improvement ideas
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience with understanding of material flows, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong Materials Movement business process knowledge and knowledge of systems required to plan and buy and manage materials
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyze project needs and balance competing interests, and to determine the resources needed to meet objectives
  • Use of business process modeling techniques, such as contextual inquiry, business narratives, and value networking analysis
  • Project management skills to manage overall transformation or continuous improvement projects across multiple geographies
