Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting classification and statutory surveys for ships in service.
  • Providing technical assistance to Marine & Offshore Surveyors in other operating regions.
  • Controlling 'management of change' processes for a variety of clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing Performance Standards and Written Schemes of Verification.
  • Supporting opportunities for business in the local area.
  • Taking an active role in all work in the area, proactively managing contracts with a focus on service delivery, retention, and developing client relationships.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme).
  • Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
  • Sufficient knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical.
  • Preferred but not necessary: Experience of verification and/or class, statutory and engineering experience with a working knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience.
  • Strategic thinking recognises how own work contributes to the team's objectives.
  • Change management skills; understands the need for change and can adapt own independent specialist role/team working processes to accommodate such change.
  • Inspirational, motivational Skills, demonstrate self-motivation to achieve own performance objectives.
