Electrical Systems Designer

Valmet is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Designer to join our Detail Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our folded tissue production lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for production lines, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize projects, manage costs, and optimize schedules.
  • Analyze development needs from Production and R&D departments, and liaise with internal departments for component procurement and cost estimation.
  • Stay up-to-date with electrical systems and related regulations, and manage bills of material using SAP management software.
  • Interface with electrical technicians for panel assembly and mechanical designers for motor and actuator definition.
  • Solve technical problems on-site and at customer premises, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CAD design systems, such as Zuken E3 or Spac.
  • Configuration and management of electrical and fluidic systems.
  • Previous experience with Tia Selection tools is appreciated.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency in Ms Office.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with strong team working skills and result-oriented mindset.
