Strategic Growth Leader

Milling Cameron is supporting a well-established data center developer and operator in the search and selection of a Corporate Development Manager to report directly to the CEO and oversee the strategic financing of the business. This key position will lead new business development opportunities through the planning and analysis of strategic initiatives, utilizing corporate projects, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic partnerships as tools to perfectly position the company for continued growth.
About the Role:
The Corporate Development Manager serves as a bridge between strategy and business-as-usual operations, requiring strong partnerships with all major functions to identify attractive markets, evaluate competitors, and assess various opportunities, including greenfield and M&A opportunities, to effectively allocate capital within the business while driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify high-potential markets for entry and develop compelling business cases for market expansionDevelop financial models, investment proposals, and present to the board for approvalManage end-to-end M&A processes, including deal valuation frameworks, transaction materials, and due diligenceEvaluate corporate and strategic partnership opportunities by preparing well-founded business cases and providing relevant insights to stakeholdersSupport sales and marketing teams in identifying, developing, and implementing new initiatives that drive forward the company's strategic goals and enhance competitive advantageEnsure seamless integration of various initiatives into business-as-usual operations, embedding them within the company's operational framework for continued successRequirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a numeric field, with further qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
- At least 10 years of professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or business development, preferably in a telecommunications business
- A deep understanding of financial valuation methodologies and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, project management, and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive audiences
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, with the ability to foster a cohesive and effective work environment

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
