Fisheries Management and Data Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled research scientist to join our team at COISPA Tecnologia & Ricerca in Bari, Italy. The selected candidate will be involved in European H2020 projects on ecosystem-based fisheries management and data infrastructure.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will work on developing applications in fishery science and related disciplines. This includes expertise in software development using open-source languages for quantitative analyses, graphical user interfaces, web applications, and relational database management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • PhD or documented relevant experience
  • Expertise in statistical programming language R, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS
  • Experience in big data management (preferential)
  • Solid statistical skills (preferential)
