About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Decarbonization Department as a Hydrogen Technology R&D Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our decarbonization projects at national and international levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage internal and external research projects in collaboration with Italian and international universities and research centers.
  • Generate and extract value from existing and new research projects in line with Snam's strategy.
  • Support technical due diligence and potential strategic collaboration with innovative start-ups.
  • Apply for national and international research project funding, selecting the most suitable partners for consortia formation.
  • Manage a brilliant and dedicated team.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on energy or environmental topics.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • A keen interest in investigating the evolution of the energy sector, particularly in technological aspects and environmental and energy policy frameworks.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Nice to have: Master degree or PhD in Chemical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in similar roles.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of decarbonization technologies, including Low Carbon H2 production technologies, Fuel Cells, CO2 valorization, CO2 capture, and Long Duration Energy Storage.
  • Proven track-record of successfully managing R&D projects.
