About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Commodity Manager to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for driving the global strategy for electrical components across all Wabtec business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement proactive strategies for the global electrical components commodity to drive margin improvement, cash generation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Manage the supplier panel for electrical components, including supplier selection, qualification, and development.
  • Define and deploy supplier risk assessments and sole, single, and dual sourcing plans.
  • Drive supplier performance review and optimize PO payment terms.
  • Provide supplier vendor lists to project buyers and contribute to final negotiations.
  • Validate supplier selection from project buyers and participate in the Project Sourcing Committee.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or project sourcing.
  • Experience in a globalized matrix industrial environment.
  • Expertise in electrical components.
  • Good proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Fluent in English (other languages a plus).
  • Skilled multi-cultural negotiator.

Location: The role could be located at any EU country where the Wabtec site is in place. Preferred locations include Italy, France, and Germany.
