Job Description

We are seeking a Climate-Economy Researcher - Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing and developing coupled climate-economy models, such as integrated assessment models and computable general equilibrium models.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integration of climate change adaptation and impacts into climate-economy models at the regional and national levels.
  2. Developing methods to represent biodiversity and ecosystems in integrated assessment models.
  3. Capturing the resources and material requirements of the low-carbon transition.
  4. Contribution to developing open-source integrated assessment models and CGE models.
  5. Supporting the coordination of modeling activities and supervising young researchers in climate-economy modeling.

Requirements

  • PhD in economics, applied mathematics, engineering, physics, or a related field to integrated assessment models and coupled climate-economy modeling.
  • Modeling experience of at least 5 years using modeling languages (GAMS, Julia, JUMP) and fluency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Fluency in English and good presentation and writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project meetings and conferences.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and diverse environment committed to high-quality research.
