Portfolio Director

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at Atlas Copco. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise across all phases of the project, from Engineering to Research & Technology, and will aim to ultimately provide portfolio analysis and rebalancing.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the provision of expertise across all phases of the project, including Engineering, Design, Research & Technology, and related aspects of Cost, Schedule, Risk, and Change.
• Provide portfolio analysis and rebalancing, taking into consideration risk and time to benefit.
• Offer guidance for continuous assessment of processes in the R&D planning departments, ensuring the correct execution of processes such as product development process (Gates and Phases development), Strategic product planning, Agile, and Aspice.
• Ensure that R&D roadmaps and Research & Technology roadmaps are aligned and in line with strategic activities.
• Guarantee uniformity of processes.
• Provide strategic vision.
• Establish KPIs and generate reports to ensure regular follow-up on investment performance, including Project status and research & technology activities status.

Requirements

• PMP Certification.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Deep understanding of Process Phase/gates methodologies for product development (PDP).
• People Management skills with people reporting directly and indirectly.
• Team player, structured, and organized.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel to various geographical locations.
• Going the extra mile when needed.
• Stress-resistant.
• At least 10 years of project management experience with significant experience in managing complex multibrand portfolios.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a cross-functional environment.
• Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Project skills.
