OPERATIONS DUTY MANAGER
The Operations Duty Manager plays a vital role within the Operations department, actively supporting and leading the Operations and Dispatch team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Daily management of the operational team, including staff support during shifts, task assignment and monitoring, coordination and updates of flight schedules, and assistance to Operations and Dispatch personnel in their daily activities.
- Conducting daily audits within the department, such as reviewing flight files, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing weight and balance processes, and verifying the completion of daily GSE/equipment checks in accordance with airline-specific requirements.
- Assisting the Ground Operations Manager with daily operations, including staff planning, managing annual leave, sickness, and delays to ensure effective operational coverage in line with company policies and procedures.
- Participating in daily meetings with airlines and airport authorities to discuss and assess operational performance issues.
- Investigating the causes of delays and compiling reports for airlines and the Ground Operations Manager.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of internal and external communications, including SITA messaging, OTP reporting, delay notifications, daily staff briefings, overtime coverage, GSE maintenance reports, and accountability for OTP objectives.
- Responsible for performance evaluations and reviews of staff performance.
Prerequisites:
- A minimum of 2 years of operational experience in the aviation sector.
- Valid driving license (Category B).
- Proficiency in English at least at B2 level.
- Familiarity with aircraft turnaround safety procedures, including knowledge of various ground support equipment.
- Experience with ground support equipment (GSE) and preferably experience in Push Back operations and communication via headsets.
- A practical mindset and flexibility.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proactivity, precision, and attention to detail.
Work Location: Airport environment.
Work Schedule: Full-time position, 40 hours per week, distributed across shifts from Monday to Sunday, with rotating days off.
The position will be filled through a permanent contract, and the annual gross salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
