Job Purpose:

MSC Cruises, a leading global cruise operator, is undergoing a transformative digitalization process, with a €13.6 billion investment plan to build 17 new digital ships and expand its infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management Specialist to join our Naples office, the major service delivery center in the Group, to support the digital transformation of our business.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and global team, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and meritocratic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead incident and problem management efforts, resolving IT issues promptly and effectively.
  • Act as the focal point for all communication related to incidents, both internally and externally, ensuring stakeholders are informed about the status and resolution.
  • Incident Management: Coordinate responses and resolutions to minimize downtime and mitigate impacts on ship operations.
  • Proactively monitor critical services to ensure uninterrupted operation, implementing new strategies and tools for effective monitoring.
  • Provide regular reports on IT operations and incidents to various IT units.
  • Extend support to ships during weekends and night hours to address IT-related issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing IT services and processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reliability, and performance in maritime IT operations.
  • Availability to work during weekends and nights under rotation and travel up to 20% of the time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in service IT infrastructure and service management, with expertise in cruising a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of networking principles, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Proven experience in Incident Management, ITIL, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Right to work in Italy.
