The Team Leader Engineering PV plants will be responsible for developing photovoltaic plant designs, using advanced energy yield assessments and optimization techniques to determine the lowest cost of energy (LCOE). This key member of the Engineering team will work closely with external engineering companies to review and optimize project designs, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar designs, including equipment selection, energy modeling, and optimization to design high-performing integrated systems.
  • Conduct engineering reviews and technical due diligence, evaluating system components, cables sizing, configuration, and environmental conditions to confirm reliable energy production estimates that optimize capacity, production, and cost.
  • Identify new PV and equipment technologies to maximize internal rate of return (solar modules, PV inverters, tracking structures, components for electrical connection to the grid).

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years' experience designing and optimizing utility-scale solar projects.
  • A strong understanding of renewable energy industry trends, development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience working in a team environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within a dynamic and innovative organization.
