About the Role

Thales Group is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Defense business, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex Telecom and Security Systems for BIDs and Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scout the Defense Market and Thales Products Portfolio to identify innovative solutions.
  • Analyze customer needs and R&D Call specifications to define and manage low/high-level requirements.
  • Design Telecom and Security Systems that meet stakeholders' expectations and comply with assigned budget, risks mitigation, quality constraints, project schedule, technology roadmap, and business strategy.
  • Manage vendors' Subcontracts from a technical perspective.
  • Support specialists to guarantee Cyber-by-Design.
  • Elaborate engineering documentation, including Product Breakdown Structure, Architecture, Interconnection Diagrams, Functional Specifications, Interfaces Control Details, Test Procedures, and O&M Manuals.
  • Ensure project technical integration and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests.
  • Contribute to bid/project engineering reviews.
  • Formalize and demonstrate the selected solution to the customer.
Requirements
  • Work experience on projects with technological contents, such as Structured Cabling Systems, Electrical/Power/Battery Systems, HVAC System, Technical Laboratory, PV Plant, Industrial Cabinet, or CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear).
  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Energy, Electrical, Biomedical, Automation, Mechanical) or in Physicist.
  • Experience with System Requirement Management and Technical Specification Writing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-facing skills (presentations/meetings).
  • Planning and Reporting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to coordinate with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Able to work in a various environment: in office, smart working, and construction sites.
  • Able to effectively achieve objectives in teamwork.
  • Able to perform in a multicultural and multilanguage environment.
