Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product designers, to integrate software and hardware components.
- Conduct software testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure high performance, reliability, and safety.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the development of software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in embedded software and medical device regulations, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of software issues during development and after product release.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within the medical device industry.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and familiarity with embedded systems design.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller programming.
- Knowledge of software development tools such as debuggers, emulators, and version control systems.
- Understanding of hardware-software integration and experience working with hardware engineers.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical devices (e.g., IEC).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
