About the Position

Villanova University's Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in thermal-fluids science. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's research and teaching excellence, with a focus on thermal-fluids science, including renewable and sustainable energy, biomedical engineering, and advanced manufacturing applications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a vibrant funded research program in thermal-fluids science
  • Collaborate nationally and internationally with faculty in the core strength area of thermal-fluids science
  • Mentor doctoral, masters, and undergraduate research students
  • Teach and develop thermal-fluids undergraduate and graduate courses
  • Contribute to the modernization of the thermal-fluids curriculum
  • Engage in impactful service
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Proven ability for high-quality research
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation
