We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Modeller to join our team at Steer. As a key member of our transportation planning team, you will play a crucial role in developing complex transportation models and analytical tools to support our clients' business cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain transportation models using a range of technical tools, including VISUM, VISSIM, Emme, and CUBE.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality consulting services to our clients.
• Contribute to effective project performance on both financial and behavioral measures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience using transportation modelling tools to support transportation consultancy, including:
  • Macrosimulation network modelling (VISUM), knowledge of Emme and CUBE will be valuable.
  • Spreadsheet modelling (Excel).
  • Understanding and application of logit models.
  • Knowledge of Microsimulation software will be valuable (VISSIM, VISTRO).
  • Knowledge of GIS software will be valuable.
  • Knowledge of Statistical analysis (R, Stata) will be valuable.
• Proven ability in leading projects to a successful conclusion.
• Proven experience in calibration of complex network models.
• Desire to collaborate and innovate with different teams, as well as work independently when required.
• Proficiency in Italian and English is required. Languages of other countries where Steer conducts business (especially Spanish) would be advantageous but not essential.

Education and Qualifications:

• Master's degree in planning, engineering, or related field, ideally with a transportation focus.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences and write in a well-structured and logical way.
