The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Trainee to join our Italian Legal Department. As a Legal Trainee, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports the global business lines operating in Italy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Legal Trainee, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the handling of claims, enforcement procedures, and requests for information from authorities;
- Providing support to the management of ordinary corporate governance of WL Group companies in Italy, including preparation of notices of meetings, minutes, and supporting documentation;
- Assisting with respect to extraordinary transactions, such as contributions of business units, company acquisitions, mergers, and demergers;
- Carrying out legal research to provide advice and drafting of opinions on corporate law issues;
- Supporting other internal functions with respect to corporate law issues.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with a Law degree achieved with the highest honors, a strong understanding of corporate law, and excellent communication skills. Previous internship experience in a bank, financial institution, or IT company is considered an asset. Fluency in English is required, and certification is considered a plus.
