Operability Specialist

At Alstom, we're committed to creating a greener and smarter mobility future. As an Operability Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our rolling stock.

Main Responsibilities

Identify the operability context of our rolling stock and analyze source requirements regarding operation within that context.

Manage gaps in the analysis with the project team to define operational use cases and human interfaces for all involved users.

Verify operability analysis process outcomes using various verification means, including modeling and simulation.

Collaborate with System Engineers to allocate derived requirements to subsystems and provide operability-related support.

Main Required Competences

• Master of Engineering with a minimum of five years of experience in engineering.
• Working experience in system engineering on large-scale projects at various stages of the project lifecycle and within railway operators, maintainers, or manufacturers.
• Awareness of different railway operability aspects, including operational environment, infrastructure, users, and operability procedures.
• Ability to analyze and understand complex systems engineering cases.
• Technical writing, requirement elicitation, and formalization skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with external stakeholders.
• Good communication skills in English.
