Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing Operations: Manage all purchasing activities, including ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and payment of items, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain a list of approved vendors, ensuring that they meet the hotel's quality and service standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly stored, rotated, and disposed of as needed.
  • Cost Control: Analyze and report on purchasing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing strategies to minimize expenses.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the Executive Chef, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of purchasing activities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on purchasing activities, including inventory levels, vendor performance, and cost analysis.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead purchasing position within luxury hospitality.
  • Language: Fluency in Italian and English.
