We are looking for a Financial Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Milan. This role is perfect for someone with 5+ years of experience in internal auditing or a comparable field, particularly in regulated companies.

Job Description

In this position, you will be responsible for determining the internal audit scope and developing annual plans. You will perform the full audit cycle, including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with applicable directives and regulations.

You will prepare and present reports reflecting the audit's results and document the process. As an objective source of independent advice, you will ensure the validity, legality, and goal achievement for the company and the regulator. Your tasks will also include identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures, maintaining open communication with management and the audit committee, documenting processes, and preparing audit findings memoranda.

In addition, you will monitor management's interventions as follow-ups of audits and engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of internal auditing or comparable work-related experience in a regulated company
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting, risk, and KYC procedures
  • Ability to compile detailed reports
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
  • Sound independent judgment
  • Thorough knowledge of financial institutions' policies, procedures, and practices with a good knowledge of laws and regulations
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision on audit assignments
