About the Position

Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste is a research center that operates a state-of-the-art synchrotron light source. The center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the EIS-TIMEX beamline, which is a cutting-edge facility for scientific research.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the beamline staff and users to achieve reliable and efficient user operation of EIS-TIMEX. They will also have the opportunity to explore various scientific cases and develop their own research program.

Requirements

A Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field is required. The candidate must have a background in experimental methods for FELs/synchrotrons or table-top lasers and a publication record commensurate with career advancement. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are also essential.

What We Offer

The appointment will be a fixed-term employment contract of an initial duration of 12 months, extendable by agreement of both parties, in accordance with legal provisions in force. The salary will be commensurate with previous experience and qualifications of the candidate.
