TMC Italia is a leading technology and engineering services provider, seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the flight software satellite fleet and other spacecrafts under development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the entire application lifecycle, focusing on requirements elicitation, coding, debugging, and integration with flight hardware.
  • Validating features through integration with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test suites.
  • Scouting and adopting the latest technologies in embedded software development within the group.
  • Participating in continuous improvement of team processes and methodologies.
  • Supporting AIV activities and spaceflight operations.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in embedded software development.
  • Proven track record of delivering embedded software in C-family languages.
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTEMS or FreeRTOS) and/or operating systems targeted for embedded applications (embedded Linux).
  • Familiarity with typical embedded communication interfaces (USART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/UDP IP).
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of processing architecture (SoC Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+) and avionic bus (ARINC-429 and MIL-STD-1553).
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of MIL-STD-498 and DO178C.
  • C2 level Italian and B2 level English language proficiency.
