About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team at GSK, where you will play a critical role in the development of vaccines using cutting-edge technologies such as Proteomics and Structural Mass Spectrometry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scientific research experiments to support vaccine development, utilizing expertise in Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of project-specific research and publication plans, ensuring timely data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Lab Head on new technologies related to Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry, as well as research and publication strategy.
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards, good scientific practices, and data integrity are maintained in daily scientific activities.
  • Collaborate with the IP team for patent filing and the regulatory team for the preparation of preclinical sections of regulatory documents.
  • Communicate effectively with the preclinical team and technical project team to negotiate solutions to technical issues.
  • Participate in training, hazard identification, and other Health, Safety, and Environment programs, and report any safety concerns to management.
Requirements
  • PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication.
  • Post-doctoral experience in Proteomics and/or Structural Mass Spectrometry.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present scientific data to a large audience.
  • Strong project management and scientific/technical strategy skills.
