We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD Fellow to join our research team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative project focused on developing implantable neuroelectronic sensing and actuating devices for closed-loop neuro-robotic prosthetics and electroceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop advanced neuroelectronic systems for high-resolution neural interfacing
- Collaborate with experienced researchers in CMOS circuit design, micro-/nano-structuring, neural data analysis, and in-vivo electrophysiology
- Realize and characterize a complete platform prototype and experimentally evaluate the neuromodulation efficacy of different open-/closed-loop electrical stimulation modalities
- MSc or equivalent degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, or Physics
- Background in biophysics and experience in electronic hardware development
- Skills in programming with Matlab/Python/C++/C# or similar environments for data analysis
- Desirable expertise in FPGA programming, neural data analysis, and biosensors and bioelectronics
- A dynamic and collaborative research environment
