JOB TITLE

 

Transportation Coordinator

 

The Transportation Coordinator will plan, program, coordinate, and execute movement of passengers, military supplies, equipment, and humanitarian rations in support of peacetime, wartime, contingency, and exercise operations into, through, and out of Italy and various locations throughout the Southern Region.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the movement, consignment, and documentation of freight and military impedimenta shipments originating and departing from Italy and the Southern Region, encompassing international and domestic shipments.

  2. Advise on transportation of dangerous goods that is moved through and coordinated by the MCO.

  3. Coordinate with the transporter to ensure proper loading and securing of cargo.

  4. Authorize shipments by signing applicable freight warrants.

  5. Monitor and make necessary security arrangements for containers transporting cigarettes, weapons, and sensitive cargo.

  6. Prepare monthly detention report covering containers not empty by customers within the allotted time frame.

 

Requirements

  • Valid Italian driver's license type 'B'.

  • Ability to maintain the military driver's license equivalent to Italian driver's license type 'B'.
