We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Satellite Functional Test Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our Electrical and Functional Assembly department, you will be responsible for the validation of the Functional Command and Control Chain on Avionic Test Benches and Flight Models.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate test requirements and contribute to their finalization, working with customers and engineering teams.
- Define, prepare, and execute tests, and evaluate results.
- Contribute to relevant life-cycle reviews, adhering to ESA standards.
- Develop technical requirements for test bench specifications to ensure proper test execution means.
- Participate in system test definition and execution, with specific responsibility for mission tests and system-level tests.
- Validate the fulfillment of customer functional requirements at subsystem and system levels, including relevant protocols compliance and error handling.
- Support and conduct troubleshooting and analysis in case of anomalies.
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent background in Electronics.
- Fluent English (C1 and above certification).
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Deep knowledge of test instrumentation, electronic measurement theory, and high-level programming languages (C++, Python).
- Operating Systems knowledge and programming experience.
