Job Overview

Trek Travel is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bike Tour Coordinator to oversee and host our Self-Guided trips in Italy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our guests' experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Trip Preparation: Read and review trip itineraries and reports prior to each trip start, preparing all bikes according to Trek Travel standards.
  2. Guest Support: Greet guests on Day 1, provide an orientation of the region and trip days, and ensure they have completed waiver forms.
  3. Bike Maintenance: Conduct safety talks, bike demos, and ensure bikes are mechanically sound on departure day.
  4. Administrative Tasks: Complete trip end duties, including a Trip End Report.

Requirements:

  • Aged 23+, residing in or around Tuscany (Val d'Orcia or Siena) or Prosecco region (Asolo, Veneto).
  • Clear driving records, current First Aid and CPR certifications, and proficient standard transmission with trailer driving skills.
  • Knowledge of bike mechanics and availability from April to October.

Compensation:

  • Paid on first and last day of each trip.
  • Hourly rate for emergency assistance.
  • Gratuities not recommended, but tips may be given at discretion.

About Us

Trek Travel values continuous improvement, encourages feedback, and gives its best effort every time. This is a part-time, contracted position, reporting to the Director of Guide Operations.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
