Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commodity Leader to join our Procurement team at DeLonghi. As a key member of our purchasing organization, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of direct materials categories, developing and implementing category strategies, and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Supplier Management: Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Cost Reduction and Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, and optimize supplier contracts to achieve maximum value.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of local buyers to achieve procurement targets and objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Experience: 57 years of sourcing experience in direct materials categories.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and multicultural collaboration.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, agility, and speed of reaction, with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, supply chain management).
