Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sociology

The European Institute of Sociology is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. As a Kohli Fellow, you will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research projects, advance your publications, and develop research collaborations.

This two-year postdoctoral fellowship is offered within the Max Weber Programme for Postdoctoral Studies at the European University Institute (EUI) in Fiesole/Florence. You will be part of a vibrant community of researchers from around the world, working on innovative projects in the social sciences and humanities.

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently on their own research project, while also contributing to the academic life of the EUI. You will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and resources, as well as a generous stipend to support your living expenses in Florence.

• Conduct original research in sociology, leading to high-impact publications
• Develop and maintain research collaborations with international partners
• Participate in academic events and conferences, representing the EUI

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

• A Ph.D. in sociology or a related field
• An excellent research track record, demonstrated by publications and presentations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
