Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our E-Beam processing facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all activities within the plant, including production, quality, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement plans and strategies to meet customer requirements and maximize profit.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Lead internal, regulatory, or customer audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage and administer current and new business activities, including developing plans and strategies to meet customer requirements and maximize profit.
  • Provide current or prospective customers with tours of the facility and lead internal, regulatory, or customer audits.
  • Coordinate requirements with Director of Plant Operations, sales, engineering, procurement, production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, quality functions, and technology centers.
  • Analyze and prepare reports for review by appropriate company management.
  • Resolve external business-related complaints by maintaining liaison with local and Divisional QSRC staff, and facility staff to investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Participate in and represent the company in local community activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve operations and incorporating staff suggestions into analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of managerial experience, preferably in an ISO and/or GMP related industry with strong customer focus.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in Italian and English.
  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines.
  • Computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet, and relevant software applications capabilities.
  • Average organizing, analyzing, problem-solving ability to determine organizational customer and regulatory problems to formulate corrective action plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior management experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to inspire people in their opinions, attitude, or judgments; to generalize, evaluate, and make decisions in stressful situations.
