We are looking for a highly skilled Functional Safety Expert - Automotive to join our team at European Tech Recruit's Research Center. As a leading player in the field of digital energy and electric vehicles, we require someone with a strong background in software development and safety engineering.

The successful candidate will have the role of functional safety engineer supporting the design, analysis, and safety assessment of software in both the automotive and digital-energy domains. They will be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team of experts and PhDs passionate about research projects and innovative solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in software development and safety engineering. The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong team-working attitude, and fluency in English (both written and spoken). Availability to travel in Europe and China is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, analysis, and safety assessment of software in both the automotive and digital-energy domains
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and highly collaborative team of experts and PhDs passionate about research projects and innovative solutions
  • Develop and maintain software architecture safety concepts and validate real-time software and tool chain architectures
  • Perform safety analysis on real-time embedded software areas
  • Ensure the implementation of the safety process and activities as a function safety manager

Requirements:

  • M.Sc in Engineering/Computer Science. PhD preferred
  • Multi-year experience in safety-related project management
  • Knowledge of ISO26262 (parts 6, 8, 9, 11 recommended, at least)
  • Safety concept and safety analysis experience on safety-related ECUs architectures, embedded software design
  • Knowledge of micro-controller/processor internal structure
  • Experience in embedded SW development (i.e., C, Assembly)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong team-working attitude
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and availability to travel in Europe and in China
