Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to support the development of value chain projects in the field of sustainable agriculture. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, value chain analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of value chain projects, including research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and prioritize value chain opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, processors, and traders.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, including data analysis, report writing, and presentation development.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as agricultural economics, food systems, or sustainable agriculture.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, value chain analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in English, with working knowledge of another official FAO language.
