Project Overview

Marposs, a world leader in high-precision measuring instruments, is introducing Industry 4.0 concepts, including Digital Thread and Digital Twin, into its after-sales services.

The aim of this project is to introduce an advanced digital usage concept at a global level, and to undertake this development, the company relies on a strategic business partner capable of providing tools for the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and put into production the first augmented reality experiences to be tested by pilot users.
  • Collaborate with the documentation and after-sales departments to field-test the use of the elements created.
  • Evaluate the impact on the business while developing the project.

Requirements

This thesis is oriented towards students graduating in Mechanical or Computer Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in augmented reality, digital twins, and industry 4.0 concepts.

The project will be carried out in complete collaboration with the documentation and after-sales departments, with the aim of field-testing the use of the elements created, with a view to continuous improvement, exploiting the logic of Agile.
